Aniplex USA to Release Black Butler Season 1 on Blu-ray in January

Aniplex of America announced at Anime NYC on Friday that it will release the first season of Black Butler on a Blu-ray Disc box set on January 29, 2019.
The first season of Black Butler adapts Yana Toboso's manga of the same name, and premiered in Japan in 2008. The anime takes place in Victorian London and follows the adventures of Ciel Phantomhive and his demonic butler, Sebastian. FUNimation Entertainment previously released the series on home video but its license expired last year.
Funimation also released Black Butler II, the Black Butler: Book of Murder OAV, and the Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic anime film. Its license for Black Butler II expired in June.
