Jerry Beck of the Cartoon Research Co. has managed to track down the collectors and owners of several English-dubbed Japanese animated TV series of the 1960s that DIDN'T make it to America, borrow the 16mm prints and will be showing them at a special screening at the ASIFA-Hollywood's Animation Center in Burbank, Calif on Wednesday October 25th.

Osamu Tezuka's "BIG X", Toei's "KEN THE WOLF BOY" and Tatsunoko's "SPACE ACE" (aka RING-O) will be screened. These films represent the earliest efforts from some of todays biggest Anime studios, Toei Animation's TV animation division (Ken the Wolf Boy), Tokyo Movie Shinsha (TMS) (Big X), and Tatsunoko Productions (Space Ace).

Jerry Beck, Fred Patten (of Streamline Pictures) and Fred Ladd (producer of the English language Space Ace) will introduce these rare movies.

Whether this screening can ever be repeated is unknown.
