Funimation and Irwin team up for Anime toys

IF toys to produce Grittier Anime toys.

FUNimation, North American Licensors of Dragon Ball Z, and Irwin Toys, the manufacturers of Dragon Ball Z toys, have teamed up to form a new company called IF. The new toy company will handle toys for FUNimation's Anime titles, such as Blue Gender, Yu-Yu Hakasho and of course, Dragon Ball Z.
According to Figures.com, FUNimation will have the primary creative and executive control of the new company, while Irwin brings its distribution network and Asian toy industry conenctions to the joint venture.
One of the design companies that will be designing products for IF will be Toxic Mom's Studio. Toxic Mom's Studio has designed a deluxe Lord Slug figure and a "Bulma in battle attire" figure.
According to Ralph Cordero of Toxic Mom's Studio, the new figures will be "grittier and Mcfarlanesque."
