Anime Expo, Toei Announces 2 Anime Directors as Guests

Anime Expo 2007 has announced animation director Eisaku Inoue as a Guest of Honor for the June 29-July 2 event at the Long Beach Convention Center in California. Inoue helped animate Gunbuster and other classics before rising to the position of animation director on such Toei Animation works as One Piece, Interlude, and Ring ni Kakero. First-time exhibitor Toei Animation is also hosting director Kōnosuke Uda as its special industry guest at Anime Expo. Uda oversaw One Piece, Galaxy Express 999: Eternal Fantasy, Lovely Complex, and several episodes of three Sailor Moon anime series.
