TotalVid Offers Death Note by Subscription or Download

Viz Media announced that TotalVid.com will offer the Death Note anime on its subscription plan and its download-to-own option starting June 28. The first 16 episodes of Death Note will be available in the US$9.95 systemwide monthly subscription or for permanent downloads at US$1.99 each, with a new episode added weekly. TotalVid requires recent versions of Microsoft Windows, Internet Explorer, and Windows Media Player for digital rights management. Viz has been sending cease-and-desist notices to Death Note fansubbers after offering legal, subtitled videos on Direct2Drive.com in May.
