The du9 website posted an interview with manga artist/illustrator Junko Mizuno on her influences and stories. She and fellow "kawaii gothic" artist Mizna Wada are appearing in Southern California this Saturday. The Comics Journal magazine interviewed Jason Thompson on Viz's roots, Thompson's comic aspirations, and his Manga: The Complete Guide book. NPR's On the Media program posted an audio interview with Japanamerica author Roland Kelt about manga as a form of diplomacy for Japan. Publishers Weekly magazine's Comics Week interviewed Tokyopop's editor-in-chief Rob Tokar on this month's Battle Royale Ultimate Edition manga with added conceptual art and commentaries.
