Legend of Kamui Ninja Film's Full Trailer Streamed

The website for Yōichi Sai's (Choi Yang-il's) live-action film adaptation of Sanpei Shirato's Kamui Gaiden ninja manga has posted its first one-minute full trailer on Thursday. (The earlier teaser trailer is still available.) Ken'ichi Matsuyama (Death Note movies' L, Detroit Metal City's Sōichi/Krauser II) stars in the title role of a rogue ninja on the run from his own clan. Kankurō Kudō (Ping Pong, Ikebukuro West Gate Park) wrote the screenplay, and the film will open in Japan on September 19.
The film is based on the 1965-67 and 1982-87 side stories to the 1964-71 Legend of Kamui manga. Viz released the original manga in English.
