The American anime distributor Bandai Entertainment has confirmed with ANN that the company still holds a license for the sola romance television series. Section23 Films announced on Friday that Sentai Filmworks has licensed the 15-episode sola series, and Section23 will release a boxset of the series in August. Bandai Entertainment's Robert Napton noted that his company is "not involved with anything [Section23 Films] are doing," and is "currently releasing sola and will continue to do so."

Bandai Visual USA, another Namco Bandai Group subsidiary based in the United States, had originally confirmed its license of sola in February of 2008. In July of that year, Bandai Visual USA and Bandai Entertainment combined their assets.

Bandai Visual USA had also announced in January of 2008 that it would release the Shigofumi supernatural anime series. Section23 Films announced on Friday that Sentai Filmworks has licensed Shigofumi for an August release date. Bandai Entertainment did not clarify if it still has plans for Shigofumi, which had been delayed since March of 2008.
