Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi Boys-Love Manga to Bundle Anime DVD

A solicitation sheet for the fifth volume of Shungiku Nakamura's Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi ~Onodera Ritsu no Baai~ boys-love manga lists a limited-edition bundle with a premium anime DVD. The DVD will include an episode that is about 20 minutes in length. The limited-edition box's manga volume and DVD jacket will both feature exclusive cover illustrations. The limited edition can be pre-ordered until January 5, 2011.
According to the solicitation sheet, director Chiaki Kon (When They Cry - Higurashi), scriptwriter Rika Nakase (Rocket Girls), character designer Yōko Kikuchi (Noir, Tsubasa Tokyo Revelations), and Studio DEEN are working on the Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi anime. All of them had previously worked together on the anime adaptation of Nakamura's Junjō Romantica boys-love manga. (Kikuchi is also illustrating the premium anime DVD's jacket.) Takashi Kondō (Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaō, Katekyo Hitman Reborn!) and Katsuyuki Konishi (Gurren Lagann, Hetalia) will lead the voice cast.
Kadokawa Shoten's Ciel magazine had already announced in January that Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi has a television anime series in the works.
