24th Anpanman Film Details Revealed

The details for this year's Anpanman film, titled Soreike! Anpanman Yomigaere Bananajima, have been revealed. The 24th film in the Anpanman franchise will open on July 7.
The film will take place on Banana Island, an island in the south shaped like a banana where many delicious bananas always grow. Baikinman is causing the bananas on the island to die, and Anpanman travels to the island to stop him. The movie's theme will revolve around not giving up no matter what the difficulty, and the importance of joining together with one's friends to persevere.
The film will screen simultaneously with the Rhythm De Teasobi Anpanman to Fushigi na Parasol short.
New Anpanman films have been opening each summer since 1989. Each film usually features a guest star voice actor or voice actress. Details on who the guest star will be for the 24th film will be announced at a later date.
