Sakura Wars OVA Box to Have Director's Cut of 2nd Series #1

The Sakura Taisen: Teikoku Kagekidan (Sakura Wars: Imperial Assault Force) original video anime (OVA) Blu-ray Disc box set will include a director's cut version of the Sakura Wars 2 series' first episode. The version will feature a new scene that will run for about 30 seconds and include more than 20 cuts.
The set celebrates the 15th anniversary of the Sakura Wars game, anime, and manga franchise. The bundle will include the four-episode series Sakura Taisen: Ouka Kenran (Sakura Wars: The Gorgeous Blooming Cherry Blossoms) and the six-episode series Sakura Taisen: Gouka Kenran (Sakura Wars: The Radiant Gorgeous Blooming Cherry Blossoms), as well as a special 16-page booklet and audio commentary.
The set will ship in Japan for the retail price of 18,900 yen (about US$233) on August 24.
