Tokyo Ravens, Date A Live Get Spin-Off Manga in Dragon Age Magazine

Shogi manga with story by HENNEKO's Sou Sagara also debuts in January

The January 2014 issue of Fujimi Shobo's Dragon Age magazine announced on Monday that three new manga will start serialization in the magazine's February issue, which is scheduled to ship on January 9.


The first manga, titled koma Hibiki, is a shogi manga being adapted from Sou Sagara (HENNEKO) and Yukiya Murasaki's original story with art by Naya Minadori and advising from Michio Takahashi.

Yui Hinamori is drawing a a spin-off manga of Kōshi Tachibana's Date A Live light novel titled Date A Party. The manga tells the everyday lives of the characters.

The final manga is a spin-off of Kōhei Azano's Tokyo Ravens light novel, titled Tokyo Ravens: Girls Photograph-. Kōji Yokoyama is drawing the manga with scripts by Touko Machida. The manga focuses on the female characters in the series.

Ringo drew the main Date A Live manga in Kodansha's Shōnen Ace magazine. Date A Origami, drawn by Maya Mizuki, is a four-panel manga running in Dragon Magazine Age Premium, and the Date A Strike manga by Kakashi Oniyazu is currently running in Dragon Age. Funimation streamed the television anime adaptation of the light novel series as it aired, and the anime is getting a second season.

Atsushi Suzumi is drawing the main Tokyo Ravens manga adaptation of the light novel series in Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine. Ran Kuze is serializing the Tokyo Ravens: Sword of Song spinoff manga in Kodansha's manga in the Monthly Shōnen Rival magazine. Funimation is streaming the television anime adaptation as it airs.
