Series follows a swordsman learning magic with female classmates

North American publisher Seven Seas Entertainment announced the company acquired the rights to Monrin's Magika Swordsman and Summoner (Magika no Kenshi to Shōkan Maō) manga on Monday. The announcement is the sixth of seven planned for this week. The first volume is slated for July 2015.

The manga adapts the Magika no Kenshi to Shōkan Maō light novels by author Mitsuki Mihara with art by CHUN.

The story follows Kazuki Hayashizaki, a sword master who, after receiving a mysterious sign from a god-demon that uses summon magic, enters the magic department of the national knight academy. Though he was supposed to be the successor to the Hayashizaki sword technique, he begins a magic class with all girls. He will use both sword and summoning in the school battle coliseum.

Monrin serializes the manga in Media Factory's Comic Alive's magazine and Media Factory published the second compiled volume on August 23.
