Aniplex USA Adds Durarara!!×2 TV Anime

Aniplex of America announced during its live streaming show on Wednesday that it is offering the Durarara!!×2 television anime series.
Durarara!!×2 adapts Ryohgo Narita's original light novels and and is the sequel to 2010's Durarara!! television anime.
Takahiro Ōmori is directing the anime at new studio Shuka with series composition by Noboru Takagi. Takahiro Kishida is designing the characters for the series, and Makoto Yoshimori is providing the music. Eri Yamazaki is designing the props, Hiromi Miyawaki is in charge of the color key, Norikazu Kamibayashi is serving as CG producer, Kazuhiko Seki is editing, Jin Tamura is in charge of photography, and the name of the animation's production group will be Ikebukuro Dollars (the same as the first season). The main cast from the original anime is returning to reprise their roles.
The series will premiere in January and will stream in North America on the Aniplex Channel, Hulu, and Crunchyroll.
Aniplex USA also announced the dates for its Nisekoi and Gurren Lagann Blu-ray releases. The first Nisekoi volume containing five episodes is slated for November 25, and the second will follow on January 27. A second season based on Naoshi Komi's manga series is currently in the works.
The first Gurren Lagann Blu-ray volume went on sale on November 11 and the next is slated for December 9. The next three volumes will ship on January 6, February 3, and March 3.
