Original lyrics of "Who What Who What" song also contained reference to blood

Band Ling Tosite Sigure announced on their official Twitter account that they changed the lyrics of their "Who What Who What" song during their performance on the "Music Station" television program after being requested to do so by the program's staff.

The lines "Chi darake no jiyū ga" (Freedom covered in blood) and "Moroha no knife ni irodorareta" (Colored by a double-edged knife) were changed to "maboroshi no jiyū ga" (Imaginary freedom) and "Moroha no fake ni irodorareta" (Colored by a double-edged fake), respectively. The band noted that they changed the lyrics with cooperation from the program's staff, and thanked fans for watching the program when it aired on Thursday.

The song "Who What Who What" serves as the opening theme song for the Psycho-Pass film, which premiered in Japan earlier this month. The movie is based on the original Psycho Pass sci-fi television anime series, which first aired in 2012. It was licensed and simulcasted by Funimation in North America. A second season began airing last October, and was similarly simulcasted by Funimation.

Two Japanese men — Kenji Gotō and Haruna Yukawa — were captured by the terrorist group ISIS, and a video of the two hostages was revealed earlier this week. The terrorists demanded US$200 million within 72 hours in exchange for the men's release, and the deadline for the exchange was 2:50 p.m. JST (12:50 a.m. EST) on Friday. The Fuji TV broadcast of the Assassination Classroom anime was also delayed due to "various circumstances."
