Humanity Has Declined Released Monday

On Monday April 4, Animatsu will release Humanity Has Declined on both Blu-ray and DVD.

The series is set several centuries after a earth shattering event. The human civilization is a fraction of the size it used to be and the most prosperous species on earth are now Fairies, 10-centimetre-tall creatures with remarkable intelligence and a love for sweets. The heroine of the story is a arbitrator between humans and fairies across the earth due to her remarkable sweet making skills and the heroine thinks that her new found responsibility would be easy. Unfortunately for her the fairies are more than a handful due to their advanced technology and need of constant amusement.

Humanity Has Declined (Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita) is based on Romeo Tanaka's 2007 light novel series of the same name. The anime ran for 12 episodes from July 2012 and was directed by Seiji Kishi (Angel Beats!, Persona 4 The Animation) at studio AIC A.S.T.A (Heaven's Lost Property, Persona 4 The Animation). Kyuuta Sakai (Steins;Gate, When They Cry - Higurashi) served as character designer and chief animation director. Makoto Uezu (Katanagatari, School Days) was in charge of the series scripts.

MVM will release a collected edition of Maid Sama! on both Blu-ray and DVD, carrying the 27 episodes on three discs. The series centres on a high school student council president who secretly works at a maid café.

Manga Entertainment will release three collections on Monday. One of them will be the fourth season of Yu-Gi-Oh! (left). Manga will also release the sixth season of Naruto Shippūden (right), which carries episodes 245 to 296 of the series on eight discs. Finally, Manga will also release Box Set 24 of Naruto Shippūden (left), which carries episodes 297 to 308 of the series, on two discs.
