My Hero Academia Spinoff Manga Vigilante Relaunches on Shonen Jump+

Next year's combined second and third issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump is revealing on Monday that Hideyuki Furuhashi and Court Betten's Vigilante: Boku no Hero Academia Illegals spinoff of Kōhei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia (Boku no Hero Academia) manga will relaunch on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ online manga app on December 15. The first and second chapters, which previously ran in Shueisha's Shonen Jump GIGA, will launch on December 15 and 16 respectively. The third chapter will premiere on December 17, and subsequent chapters will be serialized monthly in the app.

The spinoff manga first launched in August in Shonen Jump GIGA, though the magazine ceased publication in October. The fourth and final issue of Shonen Jump GIGA revealed that the manga was moving to Shonen Jump+.

Furuhashi (K: Dog & Cat) is writing the script and Betten (Harukaze Bitter Bop, Tokyo Girls Destruction) is providing the art. The story features illegal heroes.

Horikoshi launched the superhero manga series in Weekly Shonen Jump in July 2014, and Shueisha published the 11th compiled volume in Japan on November 4. Viz Media is publishing the manga digitally in its Weekly Shonen Jump magazine and in print. The company released the manga's sixth compiled volume in English on November 1.

The anime adaptation premiered on April 3. Funimation streamed the series in Japanese with English subtitles as it aired in Japan, and began streaming the English broadcast dub on May 4. A second season has been greenlit.
