Manga Entertainment CEO Colin Lomax Passes Away

Screen Daily reports that Colin Lomax, CEO of Manga Entertainment, died in the period between Christmas and the New Year. He was 56. Manga Entertaiment released this statement:
The team here at Manga Entertainment is deeply shocked and saddened at Colin's passing and our thoughts are with his wife, Lisa, at this time. We'd like to thank everyone for the tributes and many messages of support and condolence we have received.That 2017 was the label's most successful year in its history is a fitting tribute to Colin's commitment, dedication and drive. The company will continue to develop his legacy in the months and years ahead.
Lomax had worked in film distribution since the 1980s. In 2006, he became managing director for Anchor Bay Entertainment UK. In February 2015, he bought the entire UK business of Anchor Bay/Manga UK from the Starz Media Group. Since then, Lomax had been continuing to develop Manga Entertainment in the UK, creating an international sales arm for the company. (Anchor Bay was rebranded Platform Entertainment, and sold to Kaleidoscope Home Entertainment in 2016.)
Screen International also reports that the day-to-day running of Manga Entertainment will be overseen by the company's COO, Jerome Mazandarani.
